AMD Launches New Ryzen Processor Series: Ryzen AI 300

Ryzen AI 300 is designed to unlock new AI experiences for PCā€™s

Advanced Micro Devices

Founded in 1969, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has brought significant innovations to the processor market, consistently driving competition and innovation. In the 1980ā€™s AMD made its mark in the x86 processor market by creating clones of Intels 8086 processor for IBM. AMD later introduced the 64-bit x86 architecture (AMD64) dual-core/multi-core processors and APUs, combining CPU and GPU capabilities. With the introduction of AMDā€™s Ryzen CPU, Intel’s dominance over the market was challenged, paving the way for AMD to shape the landscape with ongoing progress and technological advancements.

First released in 2017, the AMD Ryzen processor is now seven years old. These processors revolutionized how customers could achieve new performance levels in day-to-day work and personal computing. Today, the AMD Ryzen AI 300 will revolutionize how people interact with computers by bringing to power of personal AI processing to PC.

AMDSā€™ New Ryzen Processor Series is Built for the Future

Ryzen AI 300 is the answer to AI computing, delivering next-generation improvements in performance, AI experiences and graphics. It features up to 12 cores built on the revolutionary new AMD “Zen 5” architecture. Additionally, it utilizes an advanced 4nm technology node now available in mobile devices for the first time. These new processors come with AMD RDNAā„¢ 3.5 graphics and 50% more on-chip memory than previous generations. The processor’s enhancements deliver top-tier CPU, GPU, and NPU performance, ensuring exceptional responsiveness and swift multitasking across productivity, entertainment, and content creation tasks.

AI Processor Series Key Features

The Ryzen AI 300 Series includes up to 12 cores/24 thread new 5th generation Zen cores an XDNA 2 NPU and RDNA 3.5 graphics with 16 compute units. The product family’s first two devices will be the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and Ryzen AI 9 365, which will have slightly fewer CPU cores, cache, and graphics but the same NPU capable of 50 AI TOPS.

Transformative AI

Ryzen processor built for AI

The new AMD Ryzen processor series provides an unparalleled AI computing experience. Offering up to 3X improvement in AI performance over previous generationsā€™ products. Users can seamlessly run AI assistants such as Copilot+ (with free updates to Copilot+ PC experiences when available). With 5o TOPS of AI processing power, users canĀ  streamline tasks like document management and email assistance, as well as enhance virtual meetings and leverage AI tools for content creation.Ā

Technological Advancements

Compared to previous generations, the new Ryzen processor series delivers innovations in power management, with an NPU projected to enable up to 2X power efficiency across select AI workloads.

With the addition of new connectivity technologies such as WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, users can now create, play, and browse faster and more efficiently. While enhancements in both CPU and GPU elevate the overall experience, integrating the powerful new AMD NPU truly transforms the use of mobile devices for work, creativity, and entertainment.

Additionally, gamers can experience console-class gaming on the go with built-in AMD Radeonā„¢ 800M Series graphicsā€”the fastest in their class. Featuring high clock speeds, 33% more graphics cores than previous-generation products, and large on-chip memory, these graphics deliver immersive experiences with smooth frame rates and ultra-low latency.

Content creators can utilize the power of the AMD ā€œZen 5ā€ architecture for incredibly fast results in 3D modeling, rendering, and real-time virtualization. With integrated graphics based on the new AMD RDNAā„¢ 3.5 architecture, creators can achieve high display resolutions and enjoy accelerated encoding and decoding.

Devices equipped with the new AMD Ryzen processor offer more high-performance cores than any AMD-powered PC in their class, providing the best performance available on ultra thin x86 laptop devices.

Enhanced with AMD XDNAā„¢ 2 NPU architecture, this new Ryzen processor series will offer up to five times the performance of the previous generation NPU, with twice the power efficiency. It also utilizes a block floating point data format, enabling 16-bit accuracy at 8-bit processing speeds, designed to deliver revolutionary experiences in an evolving AI-infused world.
